Peter Batten is Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, where he leads overall strategy, capital formation, and key partnerships for hyperscale data center development. He oversees site acquisition, entitlements, power strategy, and monetization to align with institutional investor expectations.

With more than 20 years of experience in real estate development and structured finance, Peter has led over $500 million in real estate and corporate acquisition financings and developed more than 3 million square feet of commercial property.

Prior to Highland Digital, he founded and led Spectrum Development and Spectrum Realty Companies, where he delivered complex urban redevelopment, retail, office, and mixed-use projects. Peter was also a principal shareholder and board director of InSrv, a data center fit-out and Microsoft-certified integration firm.

Peter holds a BA in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College and studied international economics at the University of Cambridge. A licensed private pilot, he lives in McLean, Virginia with his wife and two children.
